President

Nick Motz

 

Cincinnati native, graduate of St. Xavier High School and University of Cincinnati's School of Design, Industrial Design program.  



Real estate has been and is his love, though. Out of college, Nick began purchasing, remodeling and managing residential and small commercial properties. ​In addition to remodeling, Nick is a 19+ year real estate sales practitioner.  Nick is the owner of Motz Real Estate.  He and his team now offer cross-platform service in residential/light commercial sales, property management, and residential and commercial rehab/construction.

 

Free time finds him and his wife, Mary Beth, enjoying the bounties of the Ohio River, via boat.  All in all, Nick loves real estate and the East End!

 

Treasurer

Matt Ackermann

 

As a Certified Public Accountant, Matt works with individuals, small business owners, and nonprofit organizations to address their tax and accounting needs and to consult and problem solve on a wide range of issues.  Matt provides expert advice and recognizes the importance of being responsive and flexible.

Matt is viewed as a trusted community leader and is committed to helping others succeed. He currently holds the position of Treasurer for the 3 East Community Development Corporation, Cindependent Film Festival, Tusculum Street Fest, and Pets in Need. 

Matt Ackermann grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BBA in Accounting. He is the founder of Ackermann CPA and Tusculum Properties, Inc.; both located in Columbia Tusculum. In addition to community service, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, theater, writing, traveling, watching sports, and many outdoor activities.

Secretary

Allyn Raifstranger

 

Allyn grew up in Great Barrington Massachusetts, and is a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School and University of Massachusetts where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration. In high school he loved playing soccer, skied all winter long, and worked in restaurants.  After college he worked for Omni Hotels and Resorts and lived in Atlanta, New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Hampton New, Hampshire, and finally Cincinnati where he fell in love with the Queen City and decided to make it his home. He left the hotel business and opened Allyn’s Café in 1991. After 28 years, three additions, multiple renovations Allyn’s is an iconic restaurant with a Cajun flair, offering eclectic food options including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and whole scratch cooked traditional foods.  He has truly enjoyed changing the decor & menu, cooking, hosting and running the business while being able to appreciate his family and be part of his children's upbringing. He has appeared on numerous TV news programs giving cooking demonstrations.
