2019 BOARD MEMBERS
Kathie Hickey is one of the founding owners of Streetside Brewery along with her husband Brian and son Garrett. Although a Cincinnati transplant, originally from Erie, PA she has adopted Cincinnati as her hometown and Columbia Tusculum as her neighborhood. Kathie also serves as Vice President of the Columbia Tusculum Community Council.
Kathie lives in Columbia Tusculum with her husband, and Bailey, the best dog ever! She also enjoys tennis, running, and paddleboarding.
Matt Ackermann grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, in 1994, with a BBA in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the owner of Tusculum Properties, Inc. and Ackermann CPA located on McDowell Street in Columbia Tusculum. Matt enjoys working with small businesses and individuals, to address not only their tax and accounting issues, but to consult and problem solve on a wider range of issues that many businesses face.
He spends his free time as a Board Member for The Carnegie Center of Columbia Tusculum. He also holds the position of Treasurer on the Boards of the Tusculum Street Fest, and Pets In Need. He enjoys traveling, kayaking, and watching his high school football video where he scored a touchdown.
Allyn grew up in Great Barrington Massachusetts, and attended Monument Mountain Regional High School. He loved playing soccer and skied all winter long. In high school Allyn loved to play soccer, skied all winter, and worked in restaurants. He received a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts. After college he worked for Omni Hotels and Resorts for 12 years and lived in cities like Atlanta, New York, Boston, Washington D.C.,Hampton New Hampshire, and Cincinnati. Allyn fell in love with Cincinnati and decided to make it his home. He left the hotel business and opened Allyn’s Café in 1991. After 28 years, three additions, multiple renovations Allyn’s is an iconic restaurant with a Cajun flair, offering eclectic food options including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and whole scratch cooked traditional foods. He has truly enjoyed changing the decor & menu, cooking, hosting and running the business while being able to appreciate his family and be part of his children's upbringing. He has appeared on numerous TV news programs giving cooking demonstrations.
Allyn is a certified Integrated Nutrition Health Coach and helps others achieve their optimum health and wellness goals. Check out his blog; "Later Gator" on his website!
Cincinnati native, graduate of St. Xavier High School and University of Cincinnati's School of Design, Industrial Design program.
Real estate has been and is his love, though. Out of college, Nick began purchasing, remodeling and managing residential and small commercial properties. In addition to remodeling, Nick is a 19+ year real estate sales practitioner. Nick is the owner of Motz Real Estate. He and his team now offer cross-platform service in residential/light commercial sales, property management, and residential and commercial rehab/construction.
Free time finds him and his wife, Mary Beth, enjoying the bounties of the Ohio River, via boat. All in all, Nick loves real estate, and loves the East End!
Garrett, a Cincinnati native, is a 2008 graduate of The Summit County Day School. After graduating from the University of Dayton in 2012, he began his journey in the brewing industry by attending Brewlab in the United Kingdom where he received a degree in British Brewing Technology in 2015.
In 2016, Garrett and his family opened Streetside Brewery in Columbia Tusculum. He has worked in variety of roles including an account executive for a AA Baseball Team, Bartender, and now as a brewer with his family business.
In 2018, Garrett married his wife, Emily. They have two very happy and healthy fur-babies; Rocki a German Shepard and Zuri a Husky.
Bristle Painting Company was created by Logan Wallace, a Cincinnati, OH native who has quite a unique background in the arts, design, construction, and real estate. Driven by honesty, helping others, creativity and experiences, (not the all mighty dollar). Making your painting and design project a success is his top priority.
Logan is married to Christie Reinshagen-Wallace. They have two wonderful kids, Burke (6) and Josie (3). Christie, is the owner of the Salvage Sisters Restoration and Design, a remodeling and design contractor.
